Advanced Support

The Philips DreamStation AVAPS Noninvasive Ventilation Therapy model delivers pressures up to 30cm H2O. Along with its automated real-time pressure adjustments and auto-track software capabilities, this level of support allows for the most responsive and optimal therapy conditions available.

Heated Humidification

The DreamStation S/T includes integrated heated humidification to increase patient comfort and help manage any possible rainout issues within the tube or mask. The heated humidifier provides consistent humidity and includes dry-box technology to reduce the chance of internal leaks or condensation. The DreamStation S/T also includes two modes: Standard and Adaptive. The Standard mode provides a constant humidity level, while the Adaptive mode adjusts the humidity level based on the ambient humidity of the therapy setting.

Optional Heated Tubing

In addition to the integrated heated humidifier, the DreamStation S/T device has optional heated tubing to further increase comfort levels and ensure that the humidity levels remain constant at all times. Along with the five temperature settings of the heated humidifier, the heated tubing option results in a soothing breathing experience all around, and without the side effects of dry or damp masks found in some systems on the market.

Advanced Data Tracking and Storage

The DreamStation AVAPS system includes a number of advanced data tracking features to monitor therapy effectiveness. Some of these features include:

• Built-in Bluetooth, which can also connect to the DreamMapper app via smartphone or another device for online data access by the patient or a health professional.

• Incorporated tracking systems such as Encore and DirectView, Digital Auto-Trak, and more.

• SD-Card for data and other information storage. The SD card allows patients to save, store, and retrieve therapy data from any device, or secure their data using the Card as a secure backup.

Digital Auto-Trak Sensitivity

The Philips DreamStation S/T includes Digital Auto-Trak technology to automatically adjust the triggering and cycling mechanisms during pressure support ventilation (PSV). Auto-Trak increases patient-ventilator synchrony and reduces the discomfort that can arise from leaks or unmatched changes in breathing. By tracking changes closely and responding immediately, the DreamStation S/T will intercede during life-threatening events, but will also remain synchronized with the patient to maintain high comfort levels.

Resistance Controls and Event Detection

With Advanced Resistance Controls and Event Detection algorithms, the Auto-Trak system is able to recognize even the slightest changes in patient breathing and respond accordingly. Once a change is detected, the system can respond in the crucial period of initial gas exchange. These features make the DreamStation product line one of the most advanced ventilation therapy devices available.
