The AirCurve 10 S/T VPAP is an advanced-feature Bi-Level device with optimized patient-ventilator synchrony, allowing breathing to occur naturally and in complete comfort. This model was designed to allow for a complete set of options, from spontaneous or spontaneous-timed mode (S or S/T) to timed (T) to conventional CPAP settings. The default will be set at spontaneous-timed for an initial experience of variable pressures set to the patient’s breathing patterns. This will begin with IPAP (inspiratory pressure) in response to the patient’s triggered breaths, then gradually reduce to EPAP (expiratory pressure) to minimize any sense of discomfort from the airflow.
